POWER FROM MANGAHAO.

(By Telegraph.) Special to Chronicle. WELLINGTON, July 14. There may be some prospect yet of power from Mangahao being available for districts not included in the original allocation, for the Minister for Public Works (Hon. Coates) intimated in the House that if the districts were , not prepared to take power within a reasonable time from its becoming available,, it might have to be reallocated. The Minister said a number of power boards were well under way, but he was doubtful if any would be quite ready when power was ready. If the boards were not ready to take power within a reasonable time after it was ready, they could not expect it to be kept idle. It was not Wellington, but the whole of New Zealand, that was paying for the scheme.,.
