FIRE BRIGADES’CONFERENCE.
(Per Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE. April 13. The eleventh annual conference of the United District Fire Brigades’ Association was held to-day. Superintendent A. E. Freeman (Masterton) presiding. The delegates were accorded a civic reception. Addiesses were given by Or. AV Dobson (in the absence of the Mayor) and Mr A. McNiool, M.P. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow : —President, Superintendent Pickering (Napier); vice-presi-dents, Deputy-Superintendent Braggins (Masterson), Fireman C. Braggins (Dannevirke), Superintendent Burlace (AA’oodville), Fireman Burrows (Spit); treasurer, Fireman Stubbs (Hastings); secretary, Deputy-Superin-tendent Henderson (Hastings).
