THE SEMENOFF INQUIRY.

SUGGESTED TRIAL FOR MURDER.

Received April 17, 1 a.m. WASHINGTON, April 15

Senatdr Borah telegraphed the Federal District Attorney at New York: “Is there any possibility by which Semenoff can be held for the murder of American soldiers in Siberia? The evidence seems very clear.” The correspondent adds that the Senate Committee subpoenaed Barhnietieff, Garist ambassador to the United States, to testify. It is alleged that Semenoff came to the United States at the invitation of Barhmetieft, who assured the State Department that Semenoff was unobjectionable, and therefore he was admitted into the country.
