BUSINESS NOTES.

A busy time is being experienced at the Crown Depot where the Annual Stocktaking Sale is now in full swing. Prices have been so reduced as to make this an ideal buying time and excellent bargains are offering in toilet requisites, fancy goods, stationery, etc. Quality has always been a first-class consideration with this enterprising firm, hence the sale prices represent a sterling reduction. The new Cafe, “The Popular.” is now making ful provision for diners at all hours. The dainty morning and afternoon teas have attracted extensive custom, whilst the excellent four-course lunch is served from 12 to 2 p.m. and a hot tea from 5 to 7 p.m. Ample accommodation has been provided for both casual diners and for parties, and the management is to be congratulated on the prompt service afforded. Summer drinks, ices, and light refreshments are also to be had in a wide variety.
