HEAVYWEIGHT CONTEST. Received March 14, 9.30 p.m. NEW YORK, March 13. Harry Greb defeated Tob Gibbons to-night in a bout scheduled for fifteen rounds. This was a surprise to boxing experts who had unanimously prophesied that Gibbons would The fight is considered important, for many believe the winner will be given the opportunity of meeting Dempsey for the championship. At least, the winner will probably meet Carpentier in the near future when the next opponent to the champion is likely to be chosen.
