AT AUCKLAND. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 17. At tlj£ Supreme Court William Llewellyn Trevessick was sentenced to reformative treatment not exceeding three years for obtaining goods valued at £32 from the Farmers’ Trading Co. by falsely representing that he was the son of a shareholder. Helen Sinclair MacDonald, aged 17, who admitted two charges of counselling forgery of his brother’s name on the Auckland Savings Bank account, was imprisoned for three months, with a recommendation that he be placed in an industrial institution. John Robert Draffin, aged 23, stated to have resisted for five months overtures by MacDonald to forge her brother’s signature, was admitted to probation for three years and ordered to restore the money drawn from the bank, £l4/16/-, and pay the Costs of prosecution (£3/18/). Flora Ellen Waite was sentenced to a month’s hard labour for concealment of birth, the outcome of the discovery of the charred remains of an infant in the prison laundry. Matina Taare admitted obtaining £22 from the Registrar of the Native Land Court by the impersonation of his brother. He was admitted to probation for two years and ordered to pay £6 costs of piwsecution within three months.
