COST OF LIVING FALLING.
Received August 15, 10.30 p.m. SYDNEY, August 14. At the Board of Trade inquiry into the cost of living, the Australian Mines and Metals Association, and the Employers’ Federation applied for reduction of the living wage to £3/13/1 weekly in view of the decreased cost of living, contending that if the present wage was maintained it would lead to further unemployment. \
