BURNED TO DEATH. (Per Press Association.) GISBORNE, April 25. An elderly Maori named Mita Hane was burned to death last night in a village inland from Te Aroha. He was living alone in his own cottage. SUICIDE. (Per Press Association.) FEILDING, April 25. Harold Oates, a farm labourer, single, aged 50, committed suicide at Mount Stewart, near Feilding, on Saturday. He had been released from a mental ‘hospital a fortnight ago, and was found with a rifle in his mouth. The bullet came out at the top of his head. He had no relatives in New Zealand.
