SCOTTISH LIQUOR POLL.
“PUSSYFOOT” COMMENTS ON THE “TRADE’S” TACTICS. Received Nov. 5. 8.10 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 5. "Pussyfoot” Johnson, commenting on the Scottish poll, said: "If I ha(i been managing for the ‘Wets’ 1 would have adopted altogether different tactics. I would not have held a single meeting. Instead of stirring up the women and the churches and pestering the public, 1 would have remembered that apathy counted for the ’Wets.’ Instead the 'Wets' destroyed apathy by making a fight for it.”
