WANGANUI SHOW.
NOVEMBER 17 AND 18. ENTRIES CLOSE THIS EVENING. Entries close this evening for the Wanganui Agricultural Association’s show at the racecourse on November 17 and 18. Entries for all classes have been coming in well during the week and everything points to the show being a great success. A number of splendid trophies are being offered for competition and are at present on view at the "Economic” in the Avenue. The Agricultural Department’s Red Polled cattle will be on exhibition, and as at the Hawke’s Bay show this breed should prove of great interest to farmers. Apart from the stock classes, which always produce good competition, the home industries promise to be a great feature, and as in previous shows there will be keen competition. The second day of the show—People’s Day—will have special attractions for the public. The big event of a flue ring programme will be the West Coast Champion Hunters’ Competition, carrying prizes of £7O, £2O, and £lO, and it is expected that it will bring the best hunters of the Dominion togetherThere will be weight-guessing, amateur judging, and a multiplicity of side-shows Dog enthusiasts should note that the Wanganui Canine Society’s show will also be held on the showground, and likewise entries close to-night. Intending exhibitors are requested to note the new location of the Agricultural Association’s office— King’s Chambers, Maria Place.
