VERDICT FOR RESPONDENT.

RESULT OF A DIVORCE CASE. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 3. The divorce case in whicli Mary Andrews sought the dissolution of her marriage with Ernest Frank Andrews was concluded in the Supreme Court to-day. His Honour said the case was an important one. A serious charge was made against the respondent. If there was reasonable doubt the respondent should have the benefit of that doubt. The jury, after a retirement lasting two hours, returned a verdict in favour of the respondent. They stated that, in their opinion there was not sufficient evidence to prove adultery. His Honour said he quite agreed with the verdict. He was sure he would have come to the same decision himself. An order was made for the payment of the wile’s costs by respondent to an amount to be fixed by the Court if the parties fail to agree.
