NEW PLYMOUTH TRAMWAY POLL.

(Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 8. A poll on loan proposals in connection with the Hamways took place to-day. A proposal to borrow £22,500 for purchasing three additional cars and tramway appurtenances was carried by a majority of 500. The question of a loan of £43,500 for extending the present system to Westown and the installation of railless cars to Vogeltown was defeated by 000 votes, and an alternative loan of £27,300 to install railless trams to both suburbs was defeated by 144 votes.
