SICK MEN’S OPINION OF THEM (Per Press Association.l WELLINGTON. August 2. The following resolution was passed unanimously by a general meeting of service patients at the military hospital. Waipukurau: “That this meeting of service patients upholds the opinion of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association, who consider that all conscientious objectors should serve their full sentences according to law: further, this meeting considers they should be deprived of civil rights, not merely for ten years, but for life.” The men state that the attitude of certain parties towards the conscientious objectors does not meet with their approval, for they are of opinion that had they developed a conscience during the war they would have been much better off today. both physically and financially, instead of having to spend many weary months in hospital simply be?ause they forgot they had such a :hing as a conscience.
