Tho barometer has fallen slightly, but is still above normal everywhere: variable breezes have prevailed, with southerlies and easterlies predominating ; the weather has been fair generally, but unsettled in the extrenie south. —The present indications are for moderate to strong easterly winds northwards of Kawhia and East Cape, and southerlies prevailing elsewhere ; weather fair to cloudy generally, but cold, changeable conditions anil scattered showers are likely.in the northern and southernmost districts and also on the East Coast; barometer unsteady, with a falling tendency shortly.
