SUPREME COURT.

SITTING AT WANGANUL The quarterly session of the Supreme Court for the Wanganui district was opened at the Courthouse yesterday, his Honor Mr Justice Sim presiding. CRIMINAL CASES. ’ Three persons for sentence and seven for trial constituted the criminal business to be set before the Court this session. The Grand Jury was called as follows:—Messrs P. O'Meara, R C. Ford, R. P. Giblin. J. M. Brennan, C.Georgetti, and R. Laird. TRUE BILLS. True bills were returned by the Grand Jury in the following cases: J. E. Bryne, R. Jones, and A. Hunter. alleged theft from the person; R. Alston, alleged carnal knowledge; T J. Spalding, alleged theft from a dwelling: L. A. Taylor, alleged abI duction of a child. THEFT OF CLOTHING. ' Thomas Spaulding, a married man. was charged wiffiythe theft of a quantity of clothing. tl\f property of a native woman at Utiku.
