LIBERAL-LABOUR.
The following telegram from Mr H..E. Holland, chairman of the Parliamentary Labour Party, was read at Sunday's Labour meeting in the Artcraft Theatre:
"The Labour Party has never at any time given the Liberal Party a promise, as Mr Wilford states. The Labour Party hopes to be strong enough to form the official Opposition, in which case it will move want of confidence. At the same time, although the Labour Party would seize th.3 first opportunity to defeat Massey on anybody's motion, if Ward came into power Labour would only keep him there while he complied with its demands."
There is the situation stated plainly by a politician who knows. The course of safety for the electors obviously is to see that the Liberals and the Labour extremists are not placed in a position to bargain themselves into office.
