Indications are for southerly breezes backing to freshening northerly northwards of Kawhia and East Cape, moderate to strong, westerly and northerly, wind increasing elsewhere. Weather fair generally but skies clouding over and unsettled conditions following shortly, especially southward of New Plymouth and Castlepoint. Barometer fail in south soon.
