MARKET REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING NOVEMBER 29.

At Kakaramea on Mondaj-, 23rd inst, we held our usual fortnightly sale, when the advertised cattle came forward. We X'eport a good sale for store cows, but yearlings were dull of sale. Prices ranged as follows:— Light store pigs £2 3/ to £2 5/; weaner pigs £1 13/ to £1 17/; hogIgets 23/1 to 33/1; forward cows £11 to £11 15/; store cows £8 to £10 13/; light ditto £6 5/ to £7 10/; yearling bulls £3 to £6 5/; unsound bulls £5 to ~7; yearling heifers £3 5/ to £6 12/6; steers £2 13/ to £3 7/6; dairy heifers £6 to £11 10/.

On Wednesday at Eltham there was a small yarding owing to the sale clashing with the Stratford show. We quote: Dairy heifers £10; cows and calves £10 7/6; store cows (light) £6 lo £9 4/; bulls £6 to 26 10/.

On Thursday at Hawera there was a full yarding of all classes of stock, which met with ready sale. Bidding vas spirited throughout and practically a total clearance was effected. Store pigs £2 17/ to £3 7/6; hoggets, shorn, 24/6 to 27/; hoggets woolly 27/6 to 32/; fat ewes 38/9 to £2 10/; empty ewes, shorn. 24/; dairy heifers £5 to £11 10/; cows to £13 10/; unsound bulls £5

The New Zealand Farmers' Co-op-erative Distributing Co., Ltd., report having held their second sale at Taihape on Wednesday last, owing to shearing being in full swing several lines advertised did not come forward, but with the exception of one line of ewes and lambs our whole yarding was quitted at satisfactory prices.

We quote as follows:—Forward ewes 24/; 4 and (5-tooth store wethers 28/3: m.s. 2-tooths 22/2 to 24/6; fat heifer £12; heifer, calf at foot, £6 16; 50 m.s. Hereford yearlings £6; smaller sorts £3; horses £25, £20, £8 15/.
