THE "GO SLOW" POLICY.

MINE OWNERS ISSUE A WARNING.

(Per Press A&sociation,) CHRISTCHURCH, August 30

The secretary of the New Zealand Coal Mine Owners' Association has sent a telegram to Mr Arbuckle, secretary of the Miners' Federation, regarding the report that it has been decided to adopt a "go slow" policy in the coal mines. The Association states that it will treat such tactics by the miners as illegal, and as a serious injury to the community, and may be compelled to take such action as might result in the dismissal of workers who refuse or fail to maintain normal output. It suggests that the Federation take steps to have the dispute dealt with on constitutional lines by reference to the Conciliation Commissioners.
