CORRESPONDENCE.
RE 0.8.E.'5,
(To the Editor.) Sir, —It was with very great interest 1 read the extract from the Duneiin "Star" in your paper this morning wir.li regard to 0.8. E. selections, in which 7. with many others, entirely agree. We do not have to put our glasses on to see 'how many renlly hard workers that have not-been mentioned in dispatches in Wanganui. I will -.rive ili.j name of one lady who has put her leart and soul into the war work, I have not the pleasure of knowing her DersonaJly, that is Misa Vine, of Messrs 'ireadwe./ and Gordon's office.
My wife tells me that she is confident no one in Wanganui has worked as hard as this lady luib, nothing being^ a trouble to her and she knew the business from A to Z ,and in fact knocked herserf completely out, with no thanks whatever.
I have been expecting to see yovtako this matter up, but T can quite understand the position with you ths.t after what you yourself, Sir, h.ira ooas for the patriotic and every %'ood enn-c----going, you may feel a little r!i;';deut about it. I for one am prepari'l to g've a, donation to make Miss Vine ,«c;ne solid recognition of her work.
I am, etc., TOWNSMAN.
