The installation of officers of the Unity Lodge took place- last evening. Sister Mrs J. Grunt was the installing •ifficer. Sympathetic reference was made to an old and respected member of the Order, in the person of Bio. j. A. EfFord, n Past Grand Chief Templar, who |i.-tssed away on May 6th in Christchurch. It was resolved, on a standing vote of the Lodge, to send a letter of condolence, through the Hope of Christchurch Lodge, to the relations. It was reported that arrangements were well m hand for the juvenile chrysanthemum and button hole competition, to be held on Thursday evening -next. Table games wero decided on for fie next meeting.
