Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd.> report that at Palmerston* North on the Ist inst. tlwy had a fair entry of both sheep and cattle, 'i'he attendance was small, and the sale was very drag, ging/prices being in favour of purchasers. Quotations i^at b.f. wethers to 2Ws 8d; forward ewes 13s to 14s 9d; wether lambs, good, 14s to 15s 6d ; mixed lambs 6s to 9s lOd.
Cattle: Forward cows £5 to £8; store cows £1 2s 6d to £2 12s 6d; cows and calves £7 5s to £11; 2-year empty heifers to £5 10s; 18-months heifers r.w. bull £3 19s to £4 10s; vealers 37s 6d; cows in calf £7 5s to £9.
