PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The usual monthly meeting was held in the IJhinket Room on Tuesday, Bth April, 1919, at 3 p.m. Present: Mrs Gibbons (chair), Mesdames Neame, Izett, Melhurst, Lloyd, Spurdle, Williams, Crawford, Harper, Addenbrook, Blamires and Miss Oowper. Apologies "were received from Mrs Stevenson and Mrs Comyns. Before commencing the business, it •was resolved that a letter of sympathy •bes ent to Mrs Simpson. The Plunket Nurses reported as follows: Visited town office 625; ; visited Wangnnui East office 68; visits to homes 322; new cases foe the month 80
A letter was received from Plunktfl Nurse Wilson, with reference to opening a room ab Castleeliff and visiting Waverley. It was resolved that the following^ wsply be sent to Nurse Wilscn: "That a room at Castleoliff be opened' at Mrs Fox's house, Abbot Street (just off 5d section), Tuesday afternoon of each week; and as to visiting Waverley, the committee felt that the nurses have enough work to occupy their time in their own districts."
It was resolved that the annual meeting be held on Ist May, 1919. The- following new members were elected: Mesdames McLeod, Fox, Braffin, Qoull, White, Amos, Turner, Jackson, Gould, Merfie, Meier, West.
