RAETIHI STOCK REPORT
Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co.. Ltd., report:— At our Raetihi sale on the 17th inst. we yarded over 3000 sheep and .250 catitle. The attendance was good, and wo report a successful sale. Cattle sold better than of late, particularly heifers, both empty and in calf. Sheep were in fair demand. Quotations : —• Good 2-th wethers 26s lOd to 28s; small ditto 23s Id; good 2-th ewes 25s to 27s 4d; smaller, 23s Id; fat and forward empty ewes 26s 4d: woolly forward ewes 31a 6d; woolly aged ewes 22s 6d; shorn ditto 16s lOd"; mixed aged wethers °.Zs to 27s 8d ; shorn ewes, with small lamb*, 21s 8d; fair lambs, woolly. Us lid to 12s Id; cull ditto 4s 2d. Cattle: 2-J-yenr steers £10 los; 18----month" steers £6 7s to £6 13s; 2-yenr steers £7 15s to £8: 18-months in-calf heifers £6 £6 7s, to £7 2s 6d: 2£-ye.-ir heifers in calf, £8 17s 6d; small heifers £4 19s; forward cows £10 7s 6d; bulls £7 to £12 15s; good conditioned bullocks £15.
