CLEARING SALE
Meesrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report holding a successful clearing sale of da^ry cattle, the property of the late Mr George Berry, on the farm, Ohura Road. There was a good attendance of buyers, and the bidding was brisk. The following prices were realised : Best cows £12 to £13; good cows £11 15s to £12 ICte; others £9 10s to £11 10s; cows and calves £8 10s; bu.ls £10 to £10 2s 6d. Pigs: Slips £2 to £2 12s; empty sows £2 los to £3; stores 37s 0d; sows and litter £6 4s.
