NOTES BY "MULTIFORM."

The Boniform mare Cooing has gone a me.

Fisher will make his next appearance in the Ladies' Bracelet at Masterfcon. Menelaus is stated to b e looking in a s good form as at any previous stage of his career. T:h c much-heralded Rokeby gelding Rismgham has proved a disappointment, and is reported to be shaping like one, iv his work at Trentham. -A rumour was current at Trentham on Saturday that boxes hav e been reserved there for R. J. Mason. Thus looks a s if Gloaming and Biplane will !>e racing at this month's meeting. The Kurow J.C. annual meeting takes place to-morrow, and this year the fixture appears to be attracting more interest than usual, perhaps owing to the fact th<at the curtailment of racing is extending the interest in the smaller meetings. The class of the horses engaged is distinctly good, being quite on a par with those competing at Ashburton and Geraldine, while the acceptances are very large. The "big" event of the meeting is the Kurow Handicap, in which John Barleycorn 8.12, Rode Pink 8.10, and a dozen others arc engaged. Rose Pink will doubt. less go out a hot favourite, but it ghoulh be remembered that the distance is only seven furlongs, and the Rokehy gelding Mortham, 8.8, is brilliant over this distance. Zephland, Merry Lad, Russet, John Reilly and Ardmore are engaged at the meeting, and all are reported to bo in good condition.
