Tiie War Office reports : —During the recent retirement some casualty clearing stations fell into the enemy's hands. All the doctors, nurses, and patients were safely eA'acuated, and Hie deficiencies since made. good. The Australian and new Canadian medical authorities generously helped in lending doctors and nurses. During the evacuation under heavy fire a number o? casualties occurred among the medical and nursing personnel.
