WAR WORK.

The doll and chair competition, inaugurated by Mrs D. Craig, in aid of the Red Cross funds, was won by Ngaere Crawfield, of Whiritoa. The number of the doll was 1198, and two competitors guessed 1199, the draw resulting 'as above. .

Mrs Gifford-Moore, on behalf of the St. John Ambulance Brigade Red Cross Depot Committee, wishes to acknowledge with, thanks the sum of £31 14s Sd from the Brunswick Residents' Committee, . being share of proceeds from the Queen Alexandra Regimental Band concert at Brunswick on October 4th in aid of the Red Cross and school funds.
