BISHOP CLEARY.

WELLINGTON, October 26

Bishop Cleary, who returned yesterday after a lengthy visit to Europe, speaking of his experiences at "the front, where he lived for weeks with our boys in.the trenches, says that he thinks the New Zealanders are the finest lot of fellows imaginable. Regarding the conditions prevailing at the front, the.Bishop gives'the definite assurance that the men are well clothed and well fed and looked after. The people of New Zealand need have no misgivings on this point. Everything that science and medical skill and efficient organisation can do to keep the men physically fit and in good spirits is being done. No army in the history of the world has been so we]] cared for. The standard of health among the New Zealanders is wonderfully high.
