.The Gonville Baptist Sunday School.-; Seventh Anniversary Services last Sunday were in every way a great -success.', llie Town Hall was well filled for the .afternoon and evening gatherings. The Rev. Stanley Jer.kin. of the Ingestre Street Baptist Ohurch, addressed the meeting in the afternoon on the Beauty of Holiness." Scholars and teachers from the Gonville Methodist and Ingestre Street, and Wanganui East Baptist Sunday schools attendel this gathering, and were given a hearty welcome by the speaker. In .the evening a large audience of interested >arents and friends listended to a fine address by the Re»r. H. E. Edridge, of Hastings. Pleasing items were given by the children. The teachers and scholars, on the platform, augmented by an efficient orchestra, imder the baton of Mr F. L. Spurdle, with Miss Grace Dempsey at the piano, gave a very creditable5 performance. Special mention must be made of the solos by Miss Ma.ud Goldring and Miss Vera Goldring; also the duets by the Misses Mar-' ga,ret Bell and Stella Lovegroye, and the Misses Nellie Lovegrove and Eva Marchant.
