A. E. JUDGE'S DAIRY SALE.

This important fixture is dated for Monday next, and full-particulars.-are given in this issue. Nowadays, when land values are high, the dairyman, to be successful, must keep bucket fillers only, and buyers, who are strongly recommended to attend this sale, will have placed before them only cattle answering this description.. The vendor has been. dairying for a number of years, and during the last twelve months has, by careful culling, reduced his herd from 70 to 40, which number represents this section of the offering. These 40 cows are large framed, deep bodied, high-grade Friesian and Shorthorns, in good order, and have always been hand-milked. A special feature »n connection with the herd is the exceptionally kind manner in which they have been treated, and undoubtedly this kindness will evidence, itself- when the stock are removed from their customary, surroundings. The one and two-year-old heifers, both lines of which are" empty, were all dehorned as calves, and are by highpriced high record Stud Friesian bulls bred by tho New Zealand Government on the Wevaroa. State Farm.

It is doubtful., if better cattle of their class have ever been offered, as they show not noly careful breeding, but having been liberally fed since birth they are also particularly well grown and in excellent condition.

The Pedigree Friesian bulls catalogued are "Dominion Fobes de Kol," sire '' Oak de Kol Fobes Homestead" (Imp.), dam "Domino V.";,"Dominion Pietertje," by the same sire dam "Spot 1V.," the State Farm cow, who holds, a, very high milk record with the 4.3 test; "Gordyline Pontiac Prince," sire "Dutchland Hengeweld Lad," dam the famous "Colanthas Pontiac Rag Apple"; and "Dominion Fobes Laddie of Zealandia," bred by the vendor.

As advertised, the sole reason of this exceptionally fine herd coming on iho market is owing to scarcity of labour, and the vendor has instructed the auctioneers. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., that every lot, with the exception of the stud bulls and the yearling heifers, is to be sold absolutely without reserve.

The homestead is only 100 yards from the Mangaon oho railway station, where there is good trucking accommodation, ihe sale will commence, at 12 o'clock sharp, and buyers from both north and south will be able to attend the sale and return in the day.
