RACING CLUB.

' At the annual meeting of the Waverley-Waitotara Racing Club, the following officers were elected for the season:—^President, Mr. J. Kennedy; vice-presidents, Messrs F. Wilson and J. Dalton; judge, Mr. R. H Aldworth;; handicapper, Mr. H. Coyle; starter* Mr. T. Cameron; hon. clerk of scales, Mr. G. H. Graham; hon. assistant clerk of scales, Mr. J. Linklater; clerk of course, Mr. C. Ball; timekeeper, Mr. D. Noake; hon. surgeon, Dr. Harvey; hon. veterinary surgeon, Major Neale; stewards, R. Bremer, E. K. Jackson, D. Noake, C. Ball, M. Kennedy, T. E. Milson, G H. Graham, C. Dickie, J. Linklater, H. Brewer, G. Lupton, A. Symes, and T. W. Lonsdale; auditor, Mr. J. C. Gray; secretary,' Mr. W. Macfarlane; hon. -treasurer, /iVIr. J. E. Palmer. Messrs S. Bromiley, B. Smith, and A. A. Fantham were elected members of the club, and Messrs Oscar Symes and Win. Wilson were elected life members.

Some discussion took place on the question of increasing the stake money for the annual race meeting on Labour Day. Finally it was resolved, on the motion of Mr. Dalton, seconded by Mr. Wilson, that the stakes be Raised by £105; the value of the Cvp v to be raised to £300. £30 to go to the second horse.V and £15 to the third., making the first prize £255. It was further resolved that the acceptance fee for this event be raised to £3.
