Butter and cheese.—Maximum prices are unchanged for ' both butter and cheese. There are small supplies of butter, and the market is firm. Danish no quotations; N.Z., no supplies available, no quotations; Irish creamery heavy buying by the Home and Continental trade: salted. 2065; vmsalted, 2095. Argentine, no supplies available and no quotations. Tbe cheese market is firm. English Cheddar 1325. Hemp.—The Manila market continues firm. For New Zealand quotations are irregular and business is restricted, especially for forward shipment, owing to the possibility of Government controlling prices. Quotations : Nominal N.Z. good fair spot, £93 per ton; August to October shipment, £92 ; N.Z. fair spot, £91; August to October shipment. £90.
Wheat.—Live business is doing, the offerings from all sources being small. Prices are unchanged. The oats market is quiet but steady. Canadian 63s 3d; American 62s 4d.
