AUCKLAND, June i> The Auckland meeting was continued to-day, in fine but dull weather. There was a large attendance. The going was heavy. The " tote" handled £53,475, a-s against £43,787 last year. Remuera, Hnr-dles.—7 Lu-perino (Roach) 1, 6 Te t.nga 2, 1 Bon Reve 3. Also ran: 2 Tacaiu Jack, 5 Crown Pearl, 3 Marconi, 4 Hylaus, 8 Cast Iron. Won by ,a length, third horse four lengths away. Time, 4.2 2-5. Crown Pearl and Taruru Jack fell. Traill (the rider of the former) ha<d a collar-bone broken.
Great Northern Steeplechase.—lo Gluepot (Henderson) 1, 1 Troublesome 2, 3 St. Elmn 3. Also ran: IEI Gallo, 4. AVaimai, 8 Braeburn, 2 Norecouihe, 7 Bonnie Jean, 6 Record, 12 Ranza Mist, 9 Czaronus, 5 Dia rblo. Morecambe and Diavolo were confipicu'ous in the early part of the race. Just before the entrance to the last, rqund, Gluepot wrested the lead from Diavolo, and won by eight lengths from Troulle:ome, wiio finished two lengths in front of St. Elmn. El Gallo fell at the fourth fence. Early in the race Morecambe, Braeburn, Ranza, Mist, Czaronus, and Waimai fell, -Time, 8.32.
Prince of Wales' Handicap.—l Bedford (Tapp)M, 6?Red Ribbon 2, 3 Kauri King. 3. Also ran: 4 British Arcli, 4 Last Call, 9 Gin Sling; 6 Master Regel, 2 11-silsbone, 5" St. Francis, 10 Wartime, 7 All Talk. Won by three lenstlis, third horse a neck away. Time, 1.52.
