THE GREAT NORTHERN MEETING.
By an unfortunate accident, the reaalts of Saturday's racing at Auckland were not published. They were as follows :—

Jervois Handicap.—3 Flying Camp, 1; 1 Parisian Diamond, 2;' 8 Corregidor, 3. Maiden Hurdles.—7 Penniless, 1; 5 Gluetanus, 2; 2 Ditto, 3. Great Northern Hurdles—B Gladful, 1; 9 St. Elmn, 2, 2 Te Onga, 3. Also started: 3 Waimai ,11.0; 6 Tararu Jack. 10.10; 11 Tenacious, 10.5; 5 Maxcom, 10.4; 10 Guiding Way, 10.0; 1 Sir Solo, 9.11; 4 Fiser, 9.8; 13 Thrace 9.2; 12 Spalperion, 9.2; 7 Cats Iron, 5>.0.
From a good start, Guiding Way and St. Elmn led out of the straight, followed by Gladful, Sir Solo, Tararu Jack, Fisher and Te Onga, with Wairaai a long way back. St. E!mu lost his position along the back, where Guiding Way was making the running w\ph Sir Solo, Te Onga, Tararu Jack and Fisher.' Leaving the straight on the last round, Tararu Jack, Fisher, Gladfcful, Sta. Elmn, was the order, which was maintained to a distance of five furlongs from home. At the last fence Fisher, St. Elmn, Tararu Jack and Gladful were within a length, but Fisher and Tararu Jack fell. There was a great finish. Gladful defeated St, Elmn by a head, with Te Onga ten lengths away. Time, 5 mm. 2 2-5 sec. Marconi's saddle broke, and he was pulled up.
