PAPARANGI SHEEP DOG TRIALS.
On Thursday the Paparangi Sheep Dog Trials Club held their sixth annual meeting at Paparangi. It was the most successful ever held by : the club. The quality of the work done by the leading dogs was first class. a number of competitors travelled a long way to assist the trials. Thanks "are due to Mr. G. P. Moore for the use of .the ground, and the Moore-Hunter estate for the sheep. The three events were got off without a hitch. Mr. McHardy, of Ruanui, Mataroa, was judge, and his prompt decisions were well received by the competitors and the spec tators alike. Following are the results: Class 1. Head and Yard.—C. S HaV's Maid, 1; J. Hay's Meg, 2; j/'Hay's I rue, 3; E, McCarthy's Tip 4; C Hay's Bet. 5. ' Class 11., all round event.—A Walkers Boy, 1; C. Hay's Trim, 2; E. Hughes Boy, 3; Richardson's Dick •!• T. Dalton's Rae, 5. ' Class 111., open huntaway.—C Hay's San, 1; R, Kirkham's Wai, 2; A. Walker's Boy, 3: E. McCarthy's Don, 4; E. Hughes' Bess, 5.
