5000 TROOPS FOR WEST FRONT

(Reuter.) Received April 8, 11.5 p.m. !>:- WASHINGTON, April 7.

The Government contemplates sending 5000 troops as an expeditionary force to the West front. Experts oppose this on military grounds' as uselessly reducing shipping required. for food and munitions and interfering with the training of officers, but the Government thinks that the sentimental and political results will outweigh such considerations.
