MR. MASSEY'S VIEWS.

LONDON, Dec. 19. Mr. Massey, a/fc Manchester, was entertained at luncheon by the Corporation. Lord Mayor Smethurst proposed Success to New Zealand."

Mr 'Massey, responding, said the. peace terms were made in Germany It was impossible to forget the barbarous and brutal methods by which GermanyN^ad carried on the war. 'She must understand that we are not going to be bullied or cajoled into a premature peace. We must avenge the deaths of many gallant men, and make a repetition of this terrible war impossible. We would thereby secure a peace of which we could all be proud
