THE GOLDEN FLEECE.
HUNTERVILLE ACCOUNTS FOR OVER £60,000 WORTH.
(From Our Travelling Reporter.)
The term "Golden Fleece," very aptly describes the wool product just now; in fact a flock of sheep is a veritable gold mine; Our woolgrowing districts are all busy sending in their baled clips to the various railway stations and thousands upon thousands of pounds worth of wool are being forwarded to the various grading ports. Hunterville is one district that has had a good run, and during the past month fully 2500 bales of wool have been railed away. The clip has been a splendid one, and averaging it at £25 a bale, we find that ( the month's truckings represents something like £62,500. The wool is still coming in splendidly, so that the flockmast-ers of Hunterville in common with other districts similarly happily placed should spend a Christmas free from financi.il worry.
