SUBMARINE WARFARE.
LONDON, November 27
In the House of Commons, replying to a question, the Eight Hon. H. 11. Asquitn assured the House that the renewed submarining was engaging the unremitting attention of the authorities, and all possible steps were being taken to deal with the campaign.
In tie House of Lords recently Lord Crewe, Lord President of the Council, stated that the Admiralty had been exceedingly s.uccesptul in destroying submarines. It was a mistake to suppose that success had not been attained in dealing with the latest pattern of submarine. . The blockade would become more and more effective as the months pass.
LONDON, November 27
Admiral Sir Cyprian Bridge doubts the feasibility of ax:ming merchantmen. He considers if is a choice between dissipation in guns, ammunition, and guncrews for a thousand ships, and concentration upon a plan seeking the destroying of submarines.
