ROLL OF HONOUR.
(From Our Waitotara Correspondent.) Yet another of our boys has gone, Private Philip E. Williams, of Waitotara, of the Eleventh Reinforcements, who dj,ed of wounds received on the Western Front on Thursday last. A Welshman, though born at Portsmouth, England, where his people reside, he came out some three years ago and entered the employ of Mr. E. Parsons, farmer, of Waitotara. A strong, able-bodied young fellow, he was kndwn and highly respected by everyone with whom he came in contact throughout the district. Telling his employer lie felt he must go forward, he asked permission.-^which was granted. He enlisted accordingly, and, as already stated, went forward with the Eleventh, together with several more of his comrades from Waitotara. / The news of his death has been received with profond regreut by his many friends, who held the young fellow in high* esteem. We mourn his loss, togetlrer with those who have fallen with him in the righteous cause of fighting not only for freedom, out in the protection of their hearths and homes. We regret losing them, but are proud of the young heroes who have so nobly suffered and died for their country.
