Nissum's rev-diver' was five-chambered, four being discharged. A letter in a pocket was addressed to the press. When arrested,'Nissum said: "Hand me the revolver.' I'll save you the trouble of hanging me." \
Sir Lionel Phillips' secretary states that Nissum brought a letter of introduction to Sir Lionel, who instructed' that everything should be done to help him. He opened a store at Bantjis and began trading with th© na*tives at Ferrier's Deep mine. The authorities warned him to desist, but ho refused, 'and' was arrested for trespass.
