FREEMAN R. JACKSON AND CO.'S STOCK REPORT.

Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report at their Wanganui sale on the 10th inst. they had a full yarding, namely, 900 mixed cattle, 3000 sheep and 100 pigs. The attendance was good; sheep sold well, the bulk of the entry being disposed of at ruling prices. We sold a fair proportion of the cattle before tho day closed. Pigs sold at advanced rates.

At Waverley on the 12th inst. wo had a full yarding of cattle, namely, 730 head. A large attendance of buyers ; over 500 head of the entry of cattle were sold at satisfactory prjices. Only a small peri of sheep came forward. We quote:—

Amraham and Williams, Ltd., report: We held, our usual monthly sale of wool, skins and hides on Friday, the 12th inst., when we offered a large catalogue to a good attendance of buyers. Competition was keen throughout, and with the exception of some lines of calfskins we sold the whole of our offering. The demand for wool and sheepskins was particularly good, and the prices realised compare favourably with last month's sale. Wo quote:—

"Wool: Uur entry comprised 50 Kales and hags of wools, chiefly crutchings, which sold as follows: Cnitchings scl to 7.'d, d^ad 6J-d to 9rl. washed pieces 8?d, loclvs and pieces 4d to s'd, black 7.

.Skins: We offered 2259 sheepskins, and the best prices obtained were Os. to 12.5" 7d for some really fine lines. Others sold n,s follows: Crossbred -fine 8d to feijd. crossbred medium 6fd to Bfd, crossbred inferior 6|d to 7sd, dead 6|d

to 7|d, hoggets o|d, quarter wools 6|d, lambs 6d to 7£d, butchers' skins, crossbred fine 5s 4d to 10s Id, medium at; 4s 66! to VJs 7d, inferior and damaged Us, dead skins at per piece 5s 7d, hoggets 3s, black 3s 6d, salted skins at pea* piece crossbred 5s 4d to 7s 6d quarter woolled 2s 6d.

Hides: Ox 7|d to 8f d, cows heavy G]d, medium 8d to B£d, bulls s|d to 6d, horse hides at per each 6s 6d to 9s Bd.

Calfskins: As above mentioned, we passed some of the best lines, but hope to sell them later. In the meantime we axe quoting the prices actually realised at the sale. Sound oalf to Is per lb., slippy calf 3d to 6£d, yearlings 6Jd to 7£d, cut ditto 7d, slippy 4d and Cd.

Sundries: Tallow in tins £24 per ton, sacks £16 10s. Horse hair Is 4sd to Is 9d per lb.
