BIG INCREASE IN RANGITIKEI

The anmial sheep returns for the year ending April 30th. 191S, show a big increase in the Ilangitikei area, the mimber being 254,641, an increase of 121,----129. Other districts are Oroua 155,439, increase 5.2TD; Kairane-i 106.557 (decrease 1832); Kiwitoa 340.753, increase 18.177; Manawatu 151.298. decrease 7,----497; Pohangina 10/.835, increase 15.----875.

The total number of sheep-owners in the Dominion is 21,527, while the total number of sheep in the Dominion on April 30 was 24,191,810, showing aii increose for the year of 441.65?-
