BAND CONCERT

"A MiJ.itnrv Church Parade.%" arranged by Ord Hume, and as pli vrvl by the massed bands at the Crvst.nl Pnlnce .it the conclusion of tho National Band Festival. A synonsis of the selection is as follows :^-The town clock'strikes six, and tho morn in EC-gun is fired, a signal to the trumpeters to sound the reveille: soldiers prepare for parade. "■Church bells" are heard in the distance, the "Fall m," is sou-dtx] (during wHioh tho band plays "Hark the Borinja Christchurcli Bells"), later the \commandino- officer appears and there is heard the "Inspection March." \yth its pomp and 'dignity :_ special.bells ring for the soldiers' service, and tho troops march away to the roll of the drums; Church service, organ music, chants, etc. The service is concluded by a special vocajl item, " The J^iojdiers' Chorus,"; which is rendered by the band. '
