The "Telegraph," dealing with the Dominion's vital statistics, says this is not the first time New Zealand has broken the mortality records in the best way. It still remains, however, for her to improve the birth-rate, which is admitted" to be lower in New Zealand than anywhere else in Australasia excepting South Australia.
