THROUGH THE TARANAKI DISTRICT.
DEPUTATIONS A'£ PATEA, WAVERLEY, AND MOUMAHAKI. VISIT TO THE STATE FARM. REFERENCE TO BOXED OF AGRICULTURE. (From Our Travelling Reporter.) The Prime Minister, tho Hon. W. F. Massey, has just concluded a. triumphal tour of the Tarahaki district, a week having been engaged in the visit of every town and hamlet of importance in the. territory concerned. On every hand, Mr. Massey was received with tho greatest cordiality, and he unquestionably won the- approval of scores o,f those politically opposed to him by hib candour, honesty of ' purpose, a-nd the intelligent and masterful grip he"jpo.«sesses or the affairs of the conn--try. Enthusiasm prevailed throughout tho country covered, and there is no 'doubt that as a .result of (the tour, Mr. Massey has been able to-obiain much valuable information regarding the requirements of Taranaki, and a better idea of how the country can best be developed. Coming nearer Waugunui, Mr. Massey became the "iiest "ot Mr. Pearoe, M.P., and to-day he was motored to the port of South T-intnafci, whero he spent a couple of orofi Uible hours.
