Tho rose on Saturday morning in the. south but has fallen everywhere since, and is now lowest about Cook Strait. Rain has fallen in most parts of;the Dominion. Strong and variable winds have prevailed. A severe thunderstorm is a*cported this afternoon in Tananaki. Present indications are for a further fall in the barometer, but a rapid rise will proba-bly follow in from ten to sixteen hours; strong northerly winds, changing by west to south generally. Squally conditions. with eavy rain, art* probable generally, and a cold change everywhere soon.
