THE CANADIAN CADETS.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, October 30. Arrangements in connection with the visit of tho Vancouver High School, Cadets and New Zealand Cadets to Wellington have been made by the Victoria Leaguo and Navy League. The members of both detachments will be billetted in private houses in Wellington. The Vancouver Cadets will arrive from the south next Wednesday, and will be tendered a civic and military reception at the Town i Hull at 9.30 .a.m. On the arrival of th» New Zealand Cadets by the Main Trunk express noxt Tuesday, they will bo.roceived by the Mayor at the station and will then march to Parliament House, whero they will bs welcomed by the Government and members of Parliament. Next day both detachments will parade at Newtown Park. Exhibitions in drill and exercires will bo given under tho supervision of officers of tho Wel-hn^-nn military district and the public will be given the opportunity of seeing tho boys at work. After parade both detachments will so to the Government House, where His Excellency the Governor wij.l inspect and entertain them. On Thursday afternoon th« Hon. J. Alien, Minister of Defence, will entertain both detachments in tho Town Hall.

ASHBURTON, Oct. 31. The Canadian Cadets were present at the A. and P ; Show this afternoon, and delighted tRe large crowd with an exhibition of nin;rching and trooping of the colours, with the-playing of the bugle and drum band, and with their 'general style, appearance and verve. They are to give .a display at His Majesty's Theatre to-night, <and will visit Longbeach estate to-morrow, making the 16 mile .journey by,-.motor -cars.
