Gedye, barrister, of Rongotea. The bride, gracefully attired in a cream taffeta empire dress, with the customary wreath and" orange blossoms, and accompanied by her sister, Mus Winifred Bishop, was given away hy her eldest brother, Mr. Lewis Bishop, of Makowhai. Tho -bridegroom was accompanied by Mr. Albert Bishop as best man. The bridal party subsequently motored to Wanganui, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The Rev. G. Frost was the officiating minister. Tho Raetihi Dairy Company has decided to pay Is. per pound for butter fat during October. A very large nunioer of people from all parts of Rangitikei to Palmerston to-day for the purpose of attending the Show. "People's Day,1' to-day, will, if fine, bo very largely availed of, also. About 40 trucks of sheen from Hawkes' Bay passed up North to-day, tho destination being Tuakau, on the Waikato line, between Pukekoho and Mercer.
